Hi guys! It's the start of the week again! For me, my week started with a moment (well not exactly a moment maybe a few minutes or hours) spent alone doing something I enjoyed. In fact, it's what every young kid enjoys. Playing computer games! After spending the entire afternoon killing my braincells over math, I took time out to relax myself and just forget about homework for a while. It felt awesome! Anyway, after going into the game, which was Battle-field 2, thunderous music blasted through the speakers and I think I vaguely heard my mum telling me to lower the volume but I was too engrossed with the game to heed her advice. I clicked on one of the servers and entered it , transporting myself into the virtual world of gaming. One thing I like about Battlefield 2 is that it manages to totally transport you into the gaming world and make you engrossed in it. Hey I know that's bad but once in a while I think it is ok for me! So anyway, back to the gaming experience. There I was, standing on the open road, yelling instructions to people and holding my cool, shiny machine gun. After that you know what happened??
Yes, you guessed right! I died. Talk about epic fail. One moment I was standing there looking cool and heroic and sort of in charge and the next a sniper got me in the head and I died with blood oozing out my head. So after clenching my fists and muttering 'unfair' under my breath for a few times, I got into the game again, determined to do much better. I chose my shiny, cool machine gun again but this time I did not stand around shouting orders and stuff. I charged in guns blazing, like those heroes in western movies where they save a damsel-in-distress. The only difference was that there was no damsel-in-distress and I certainly was not some invulnerable hero. So what happened was quite different from those movies. Quite different indeed. There I was, guns firing in every possible direction, bullets spraying everywhere, bodies dropping, looking quite proficient, when I suddenly tripped on an explosive.
''BOOM!'' went the explosive and ''FLY'' went my body. It got tossed about like a rag doll and landed on some distant building, bones cracked and blood oozing out of my head again.
I gritted my teeth and tried again. This time, I picked a sniper rifle. Normally, I'd consider it as a ''coward's'' choice but I greatly needed some morale boosting so I picked a sniper rifle and it really boosted my morale by a thousand-fold. The sound of my sniper rifle cracking was like the death-bell ringing for the victim. So, one by one each enemy dropped, lying on the floor, groaning ,blood oozing out of THEIR heads this time( NOT ME). Sadly, my joy was short-lived.
''Stab!'' went a knife and ''OUCH'' went the virtual me. So, again I died, blood oozing from my head , and gurgling from my mouth. I would have gone on if not for a hand waving in front of me and saying, '' ZACHARY! Time to do work again!''. ''So fast? Another minute please?'' I said, although I already knew the answer to my question. Mum glared at me, placing the clock in front of me and putting her hands akimbo shortly after. I sighed and went away, to continue doing my work but deep down in my heart, I was alive with energy.
That's why I enjoy computer games. They let you reach a world that will never exist in reality and there you can have fun as much as you want. I know this game is a bit gory but any computer game works for me. They never fail to set the adrenaline pumping through my body, and every time I finish the computer game, I'll be always ready to do my work better than before.

Your descriptions of the game helped me visualise the game from your point of view and it would help anyone reading your entry to know the game. IT is also your graphics that help me know that the game is about war and fighting. Kuddos to you for creating a great blog entry
